Training Courses

Changing national, European and international regulations in a highly complex transport sector require the highest level of qualification and ongoing training.
Tailor-made training and continuing education by AviaCert ensures your competitive edge!

Course overview

Global air traffic is more complex than almost any other economic sector. Whether airlines, air traffic control, aviation companies, flight schools, airports or authorities: National, European and international regulations continuously bring new challenges for all involved. Relevant developments must be kept in mind and necessary measures must be identified and implemented at an early stage.

Competence through further training

Our training courses are developed for your needs. In addition to important basic courses, AviaCert also guarantees you ongoing training and continuing education in the central relevant aviation topics.

Together we will determine your training needs. Feel free to contact us!

Our current courses

Below you will find all relevant information about this course. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Aims and contents of the course

The course offered provides an overview of the following topics:

  • aviation law framework in the national, European but also international context,

    - efficient communication of the basics, relevant organizations, terminology and legal sources,

    - presentation of the requirements for aviation administrations, the responsibilities for individual operators

    - direct areas of application and examples from daily practice, challenges with practicable and efficient approaches to solutions
  • The focus is naturally on EASA and the resulting relevant tasks, structures and effects, but the complex of topics relating to aviation safety tasks is also addressed.
  • Basic issues of regulatory oversight management, on approvals and a corresponding deviation management,
  • Practical examples e.g. from:

    - Certification and certificate maintenance at airports, deviations and risk assessments, risk register,

    - ATO approvals and challenges,

    - Aviation security according to the basic standards, but also special solutions and deviating procedures ("alternative measures" according to EU law).EU law) with practical examples,

    - Monitoring and auditing (in own responsibility, but also by EASA and/or NQS etc. in the area of security),

    - Templates, tools and sample solutions for efficient implementation/use,
  • Current developments in the field of aviation law, outlook on expected changes.

The course places particular emphasis on conveying the content in an absolutely practical manner, since in our experience it is only the respective reference to immediate practical use or to the respective effects on daily work that provides the real added value of a course.

Target group

  • Authority employees of various areas of operation and responsibility

    - as a basic introduction and overview of the overall situation

    - to refresh and deepen legal issues and specific framework conditions
  • for managers in the public sector to gain an overarching understanding of tasks and challenges
  • "Admitters" / certifiers as well as auditors and supervisory personnel.

Speakers

  • Hendrik Schorcht: Hendrik Schorcht is a lawyer with extensive specialization in the areas of international and European aviation and aviation security law, licensing/certification aspects of airports/air traffic control and other operators. For many years, Mr. Schorcht has assisted, among others, authorities in adapting to the new EASA requirements and in general aviation and aviation safety topics, assisting in ongoing regulatory and certification tasks and training staff in these areas. In recent years, Mr. Schorcht has accompanied complex certification and acceptance procedures and, in this context, has also accompanied risk assessments in various aviation areas for years.
  • André Wattler: After completing his studies in aerospace engineering, Mr. Wattler specialized in airport infrastructure and approval coordination and can look back on decades of experience in these areas. Particularly noteworthy are more than ten years at Frankfurt Airport, during which Mr. Wattler was in charge of the commissioning management of the airport's operational areas (northwest runway, aprons and taxiways) and facilities. The targeted interface management he established with the responsible approval authorities in the context of expansion realization and commissioning enriches the AviaCert team, especially in the areas of conceptual design of corresponding structures and procedures as well as in training.

We offer you our knowledge

AviaCert's focus is not exclusively on offering routine "open" courses, but on individually tailored, targeted training and further education measures, often running as so-called in-house courses. We can thus offer our customers a better cost-benefit factor and targeted qualifications for the participating employees. Due to extensive experience of our employees in teaching and training activities at universities, EASA or JAA, we have the necessary didactic tools at our disposal. The desired qualification and learning goal of our customers is thus almost guaranteed to be achieved.

Regardless of this, AviaCert has the knowledge and capacity to accompany numerically large qualification measures such as ORAT training courses in preparation for large-scale commissioning at airports. In addition, we have standardized training programs for employees of aviation authorities and airlines that are aligned with the latest EASA requirements and can be implemented in targeted further training measures.

Overall, we place particular emphasis on practice-oriented training that enables our customers to immediately implement the knowledge gained. To ensure this, we offer our participants the opportunity, for example, to observe our teams during audits and inspections. Experience can thus be gained first-hand. We accompany our graduates during their first own activities and can thus provide them with appropriate feedback and the necessary security. In view of the constantly changing regulatory situation in conjunction with further technical developments, basic, in-depth and specialization courses in specific topics represent a significant guarantee of success from AviaCert's point of view.
